Weekly Pool Service includes the following:
  • Test water and add chemicals as needed
  • Vacuum and remove debris from water
  • Clean tiles
  • Wash deck
  • Empty skimmer baskets
  • Check chlorinator
  • Clean chlorinator cell as needed
  • Clean cover as needed
  • Clean filter cartridges as needed
Weekly Spa Service includes the following:
  • Test water and add chemicals as needed
  • Vacuum and remove debris from water
  • Clean tiles
  • Wash deck
  • Empty skimmer baskets
  • Check equipment
  • Check lights
NOTE: The service crew will leave behind a detailed service report at your home.

Prepare for Opening

To prepare for opening, HOMEOWNER SHOULD DO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Pump accumulated water off of cover and remove cover pump.
  • Add one (1) gallon chlorine per 10,000 gallons of water.
  • Add one (1) quart of algaecide to pool when it starts to warm up. (This may need to be repeated to prevent algae from developing and to keep the pool clear).
  • Fill pool water level to midway of the tile so skimmers may be turned on when opening. If this step is not completed, the service call will need to be rescheduled.
NOTE: If the homeowner prefers, Terry Pool Co., Inc. can do the above to prepare for the opening by placing a service call.

Opening of your pool and/or spa includes the following:
  • Removal of the winter pool cover and returned to Terry Pool Company
  • Clean automatic pool cover with pressure washer. Note: Leaf stains and other types of stains cannot be removed
  • Remove all plugs in skimmers, vacuum line, leaf catcher and return lines
  • Clean out skimmers and install skimmer baskets and strainer baskets
  • Clean tile and coping
  • Pressure wash decking
  • Assemble all equipment that is required
  • Start up pump
  • Light pilot on pool and/or spa heater to check to see if heater is working properly. HEATER IS LEFT IN THE ‘OFF’ POSITION UNLESS OWNER INSTRUCTS. TO LEAVE IT ON.
  • Check all valves for leaks and confirm they are in good working order
  • Super chlorinate pool water, check Ph level, test water, and add chemicals as needed. (Customer will be billed for chemicals used)
NOTE: The water temperature needs to above 65 degrees for pools with salt generators such as Aqua Rite, Chloromatic, Quikclor, Mineral Springs or Intellichlor, before Terry Pool Company, Inc. can turn the unit on.
The closing and winterizing of your pool/spa includes the following:
  • Skim out debris on top of water
  • Lower water level
  • Check and add chemicals to winterize pool water
  • Winterize equipment such as the chlorinator, pump and filter
  • Turn off gas to heater and power
  • Remove pool accessories such as ladders, handrails, diving boards
  • Install winter cover or close automatic cover
  • Cleaning and storage of filter cartridges
  • Skim out debris on top of water
  • Winterize equipment such as the chlorinator, pump and filter
  • Turn off gas to heater and power
  • Cover spa
  • Cleaning and storage of filter cartridges
  • Test water and add chemicals as needed
